Why Are Science and Technology Projects Different?

Architectural design services for science projects differ from run-of-the-mill projects by the mission-critical scientific and technological processes that need to be accommodated.  Whether designing for an undergraduate teaching lab, research lab, clean rooms for sterile and hazardous pharmaceutical compounding, or a petrochemical plant control room, a deep dive into the user’s needs and processes must be the first step of the process.  Science projects require operational knowledge for each facility type including workflow, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and building codes, as well as attention to detail in coordinating scientific equipment requirements. They must also recognize and enhance opportunities for collaboration.

Ultimately, a successful science project requires a design team with relevant experience, technical knowledge, and commitment to the careful coordination of the building infrastructure with the equipment and processes to be accommodated.

We really enjoy working with you all.
